A Conference on Math Education and Research

Math for all has the purpose of fostering inclusivity in mathematics by holding talks and discussions in both research and education. This conference will be targeted to undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs, and faculty members from all institutions in the Upstate South Carolina region and provide a friendly, open environment to learn and discuss mathematics.

Building community and finding connections in mathematics

Throughout my mathematical journey, I have found joy and inspiration in establishing community in mathematics and discovering mathematical connections in real world applications. In this talk, I will discuss my path through mathematics and how community and connection have played a pivotal role at every career stage. Specifically, we will explore what mathematical and personal connections can be found in surprising places and how these mathematical connections appear in my mathematical biology research and in some of my hobbies.

Parking Information:

Upon arrival, please pick up your parking pass at the registration table. Non-Clemson attendees will receive a parking pass for each day of the conference. Note that Clemson does NOT have free parking on the weekends. You must park in the GREEN parking spots located in the GREEN lots in the campus map below.

Due to an oversight on our part, we were informed that the Clemson Spring Football Game is occurring at the same time as the conference on Saturday. On Friday, you will have access to the green lots in the normal parking map attached. Also note that your parking pass is valid in any student/faculty/visitor parking space. However, on Saturday the lots near the buildings are closed. I have attached the map containing the updated parking locations. This information is applicable for visitors with a parking pass and for Clemson students!
